Nancy Lou Switalski, age 85, of Green Lake, WI passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at her home.
Nancy was born on April 11, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Royal and Emma (Wallschlaeger) Cain. She graduated from Green Lake High School. On February 4, 1956 she married Lloyd H. Switalski in Green Lake. Nancy enjoyed working as a cook and bartender up until the age of 80 at a variety of local businesses such as Bel-Air, Spikes, Moxies, Norton's and Walkers-Kollerville.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Shari Lynn (Jeff) Powers of Fond du Lac, WI and Lorene Ann (Bill) Kinas of Green Lake, WI; grandchildren, Tim (Emily) Powers of Stoughton, WI, A.J. (Leanne) Powers of Fond du Lac, WI, Joe Powers of Fond du Lac, WI, Ben (Tiffany) Kinas of Green Lake, WI and Katelynn (Nick) Coughlin of Waupun, WI; six great-grandchildren, Brady Powers, Violet Powers, Logan Powers, Cameron Kinas, Callie Kinas and Norah Coughlin; sisters, Fern (Donald) Hallmann, Reneé Silloway; sisters-in-law, Millie (John) Putzi and Dary Cain; brother-in-law, Robert (Vera) Switalski; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Switalski; parents, Royal and Emma Cain; in-laws, Edward and Lorene Switalski; brothers, Pete and Marlo Cain; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Gerald Sondalle; brother-in-law, James Silloway; great-nephew, Crandon Silloway; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marian and Joseph Borkowski; and great-nephew, Michael Putzi.
A private memorial service for Nancy will be held at The Federated Church of Green Lake with Rev. Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Inurnment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
Nancy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Jared Kohlenberg, the ThedaCare Hospice Staff, Nancy Roseth, Mike Benz, Radine Abel, Rick Krueger, and everyone who called, sent a card and/or said a prayer while she was battling stage 3 lung cancer. She appreciated all your love and support.
