Nancy (Peck) Royce, age 87, of Ripon, WI passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Ripon.
Nancy was born in New York, NY on April 5, 1932, the daughter of Jonathan and Gretchen (McFarland) Peck. In 1954 she married Robert C. Royce in Ramsey, NJ. Robert passed away in October, 2013. After high school, Nancy went on to graduate from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, and then received her Master's Degree on a Fulbright Scholarship in Paris. Nancy and Robert moved to Ripon in 1969, and became devoted members of First Congregational of Ripon. She was involved in may civic and social organizations in the Ripon area, and was a talented classically trained pianist. Nancy cherished time with her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son, Jon (Zan) Royce of Timnath, CO; grandchildren, Alexis (Chelsea) Royce-Capobianco of Dorr, MI, Kit Royce of Chicago, IL, Samantha (Dave) Stevens of Lenoir City, TN, Eric (Sara) Royce of Wausau, WI and Sarah Royce of Oshkosh, WI; five great-grandchildren; a nephew, Rick Royce and two nieces, Sue Hardin and Jodi Cahillane. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan and Gretchen Peck; husband, Robert C. Royce; and a son, Jamie Royce.
A memorial service for Nancy will be held at First Congregational Church of Ripon in late spring or early summer, 2020, followed by inurnment at Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. WI. An updated obituary will be posted in the future. Memorials in Nancy's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 620 S. 76th St., Milwaukee, WI 53214.
