Myrtle "Butch" J. McGonegal, age 100, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Myrtle was born in Plymouth, IN, on April 13, 1917, the daughter of Fred and Etta (Berkeypile) Brugh. She graduated from Plymouth High School. On July 6, 1946, she married Russell McGonegal in Plymouth. After moving to Ripon, she worked at the Chicago Pickle Company and Berg Electric. Myrtle then went on to become the Deputy Clerk and Treasurer of the City of Ripon for 15 years.
Myrtle is survived by her son, Douglas (Sharon) McGonegal of Frisco, TX; granddaughters, Nikki (Jorge) Anduray of The Colony, TX, Shanna (Jessica) Gerhart of Celina, TX, Jodi (Vance) Barse of San Diego, CA; great-grandchildren, Brody Curtis of Celina, TX, Jiana Anduray of The Colony, TX, Beckham Gerhart of Celina, TX, Zander Barse of San Diego, CA, and Jiorginio Anduray of The Colony, TX; and a sister, Helen Hollett of Plymouth, IN. Myrtle was further survived by nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell; parents, Fred and Etta Brugh; a brother, John Brugh; and sisters, Goldie Brugh and Hazel Travis.
A visitation for Myrtle will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 11 – 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A graveside service for Myrtle will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon following the visitation time. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. A memorial is being established in her name.
