Molly Marie Stegeman, age 69, of Markesan, WI, went home to the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2020.
Molly was born June 21, 1951, in Xenia, OH, the daughter of Clayton and Marilyn (Smith) Hess. She graduated from Markesan High School. Molly married Douglas Stegeman at Markesan Methodist Church on December 4, 1970. Anyone who met Molly will remember her laugh and her kindness. Molly devoted her life to her husband and family and will be deeply missed. She loved to road-trip with her husband and loved to travel, especially to see her grandchildren. If you add up all of the miles spent, they wore out two cars doing that! Molly loved to sit and watch the birds from her chair and was happy to be able to see the first snow of the year just the day prior to her passing. She was very proud of her garden, enjoyed sitting by the campfire, and enjoyed doing her Bible studies. She was an attending member of Terrace Shore Evangelical Free Church in Markesan.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Stegeman of Markesan, WI; seven children, Vaughn Stegeman of Spring Green, WI, Toni (Shawn) Sullivan of Wild Rose, WI, Benjamin (Sara) Stegeman of Colorado Springs, CO, Erin (Mike) Peters of Madison, WI, Elizabeth (Dan) Webster of Mt. Vernon, IA, Laura (Andy) Roksandic of Olmsted Falls, OH and Timothy (Katie) Stegeman of Oshkosh, WI; 13 grandchildren, Austin (Kayleigh) Webster, Elijah, Noah and Asher Webster, Ethan and Julia Sullivan, Maci, Malachi, Marli, Marilyn and Micah Stegeman and Zachary and Evalyn Roksandic; two sisters, Martha (Cil) Hess of Phoenix, OR and Becky (Matthew) Davis of Markesan, WI and two brothers, Bill Hess of Mason, WI and Bob Hess of Oshkosh, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn and Clayton Hess.
