Michael Mokler

Michael James Mokler, age 65, of Pickett, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at his home.

Michael was born June 16, 1946, in Fargo, ND, the son of Kenneth James and Luella Jean (Herting) Mokler. He graduated from high school and completed four years from Moorhead State University. Michael owned and operated the family business in Oshkosh for 36 years. On June 21, 1975, he married Susan Renner. Michael was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, a life member and Past President of the Wisconsin Apartment Association, member and Past President of the Wisconsin Self Service Laundry Association and was currently President of the Wisconsin Rental Housing Legislative Council.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Susan Mokler of Pickett, WI; two sons, Chris (Theresa) Mokler of Omro, WI and Matthew (Angie) Mokler of Oshkosh, WI; two daughters, Sarah (Brett) Laning of Oakfield, WI and Elizabeth Mokler of Pickett, WI; eight grandchildren, Alexis and Eden Mokler of Omro, WI, Malachi Mokler of Pickett, WI, Meghan, Ryan and Alyssa Laning of Oakfield, WI and Haylee and Mason Mokler of Oshkosh, WI; one sister, Sister Patricia Mokler of Omaha, NE; 4 nieces and 3 nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Michael Mokler will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011, from
4 - 7:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971, and again on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 9 - 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Grisold Street, Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Michael Mokler will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon, with Reverend Clay R. Salmela officiating. Interment will take place in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Town of Utica. A memorial is being established.
