Michael P. Bresnen

Michael P. Bresnen, age 77, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh.

Michael was born on February 26, 1949, in Chicago, IL, son of Maurice and Mary (Manternach) Bresnen. He graduated from high school and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, 1967-1968. He was a Purple Heart recipient and graduate of DePaul University. He worked for the Chicago Park District Lifeguard and the Chicago Police Department, where he retired as a SGT. in 2006. Upon retiring, he moved to Wisconsin to lead a peaceful life with the love of his life, Tookie.

Michael is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cordelia “Tookie” Bresnen; daughter, Cynthia Peddicord; son, Cory (Jennifer) Brensen; grandchildren, Joshua (Julia) Peddicord, Riley, Michael, Jack, Sully, and Aishlyn Bresnen; siblings, Terry and Kathleen Bresnen; many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends in Wisconsin and Chicago.
