Merle Schwartz

Merle Mae Schwartz, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Michalene’s in Ripon.

Merle was born February 23, 1935, in Town of Metomen, WI, the daughter of George and Leona (Zeatlow) Clark. She graduated from Ripon High School and upon graduation married Arthur Kuehn and raised three children and later married Richard Schwartz. Merle was a homemaker and stayed home to raise a family. After a few years she started working at Ripon Foods/Bremner for 36 years until retirement. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Merle thoroughly enjoyed Polka dancing and crafting at various venues throughout the state.

Survivors include her two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Kuehn of Oshkosh, WI and Jim Kuehn of Chicago, IL; grandsons, Nathan Williams of Oshkosh, WI, Ben (Kristina) Williams of Oshkosh, WI; Ryan (Stephanie) Williams of Oshkosh, WI and Bret Williams of Ripon, WI; one great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons; son-in-law, John Williams of Ripon, WI; brothers, Jay (Annette) Clark of Collierville, TN, Clarence (Leslie) Clark of Beaver Dam, WI, Robert Clark of Minneapolis, MN, Carl (Anne) Clark of Fond du Lac, WI, Ray Clark of Fond du Lac, WI and George Clark of Fond du Lac, WI. Merle was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leona Clark; husband, Arthur Kuehn and second husband, Richard Schwartz and daughter, Susan Williams.

Visitation for Merle will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 10 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Merle will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in her name.
