Mary H. Albright, age 80, of Markesan (formerly of Ripon), WI, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI.
Mary was born on September 5, 1945, daughter of Howard and Helene (Scharfenberger) Albright. She graduated from Ripon High School, and as a child was very involved with 4-H. Mary went on to work as a secretary at Speed Queen and later as Director of the Ripon Senior Center. She was a devoted member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, where she was part of the church choir and traveled to Germany with them to perform. Loving music and traveling, this was a wonderful trip for her. In her free time, Mary enjoyed gardening and her flowers, birdwatching, knitting, embroidery, and crocheting. She was a great cook, collected cookbooks, and loved watching The Pioneer Woman, which gave her inspiration for new recipes and meals. Of course she was an avid Packers fan, always rooting them on. Occasionally, she enjoyed a good Brandy Old Fashioned.
Mary is survived by her cousins, Cathi (Terry) Otto and Leroy (Lois) Albright; a very dear friend, Candace Fitzwater; and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Helene Albright; a brother, Alan (Joanne) Albright; and cousins, Gail Albright and Donna (Donald) Duerst.
Visitation for Mary will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Mary will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in her name.
A special thank you to the staff at Markesan Resident Home, Berlin Hospital ER, ThedaCare-Appleton ICU and Hospice, especially Dr. Jared Kohlenberg, for their wonderful care and friendship to Mary.
