Marshall Johnson

Marshall A. Johnson, age 73, of Montello, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, WI.

Marshall was born in Evanston, IL on November 3, 1944, the son of John Berger Johnson and Eleanor (Dreger) Johnson. He graduated form Mundelein High School, Mundelein, IL. In 1967 Marshall married Christine Carraway of Libertyville, IL. He was an Engineering Manager for Dynacast, Inc., a worldwide die casting company in Elgin, IL.

Marshall enjoyed life in work and in play. He had a fondness for all things old and spent many hours restoring antiques. He was an avid collector of a variety of items and enjoyed the study of each item. Travel was an important part of his and Christine's life which took them on several cruises and motorcycle trips, including one riding to Alaska. When not traveling, he would be at his favorite place, their cottage of 43 years, in Eagle River, WI.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Christine Carraway Johnson of Montello, WI; cousins, Judy Dreger Street, Janet Markuson Harwood, Bruce Dreger, Ellen Dreger Chelstrom, Stanley Markuson; and his aunt, Mary Jean Dreger. He is also survived by many close friends, some dating back to grade school. Marshall is preceded in death by his parents, John Berger Johnson and Eleanor Dreger Johnson.

There will be a Celebration of Life held for Marshall at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, N19W24350 Riverwood Dr., Waukesha, WI, 53188; The American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674; or your local Humane Society.
