Marlene A. Zanto, age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Ripon Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.
Marlene was born in Ripon on October 10, 1934, daughter of Clarence, Sr. and Florence (Malson) Krentz. She graduated from Ripon High School. In 1954 she married Robert Zanto, and celebrated over 62 years together. Marlene worked in the office at Speed Queen for over 40 years. She loved her summerly visits to Flanagans Pearl Lake Campsites in Redgranite, WI, where she has camped every summer since 1975. Marlene also enjoyed trips to Ocean Landings Resort in Florida. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Dennis (Diane) Zanto of Land O Lakes, FL; daughter Dianne (Patrick) Flanagan of Redgranite, WI; grandchildren, Brooke (Scott) Vanevenhoven of Ripon, Jodi Zanto of Florida, and Nathan Flanagan of Redgranite, WI; great-grandchildren, Ella Zanto, Sam and Fritz Vanevenhoven; a brother, Clarence (Kathy) Krentz, Jr.; best friends Diana Goeden and Shirley Zentner all of Ripon; and further survived by nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Marlene is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven; an infant brother; and an infant sister.
A visitation for Marlene will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017, from 9:00 11:00 am, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017, at 11:00 am, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established in Marlenes name.
