Marjorie Anne Gozinske, age 81, Ripon, passed away Monday morning, January 24, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
She was born in Fond du Lac on July 26, 1923, the daughter of Clement V. and Elizabeth (Harvey) Liner. Marge was educated in Fond du Lac, and graduated from Oshkosh State Teachers College now University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She was an elementary teacher in Menomonee Falls, Escanaba, Michigan, Fond du Lac and Ripon.
Marge married Charles Gozinske in Fond du Lac on October 27, 1962. She was an active member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She belonged to the Ripon Womens Club, Ripon Study Club, Green Lake Area Education Association and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. After retiring, she did volunteer work, and enjoyed reading and her bridge clubs.
Survivors are stepdaughter, Maureen (Arthur) Baseler; step-daughter-in-law, Cindy Gozinski 2 grandsons, Joseph Gozinski and Luke Baseler; 1 brother, Joseph (Cathy) Liner; 1 brother-in-law, Martin Kenna; 1 sister-in-law, Betty (John) Horn; and many very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepson Patrick, sisters, Mary Fran Kenna and Gertrude Schabel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2005, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon with Rev. Robert A. Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Memorials in her name should be sent to Our Lady of the Lake, PO Box 215, Green Lake, WI 54941 earmarked Father Wallys Mission in Panama.
