Marion Evelyn Workowski, age 83, of W923 McConnell Road, Ripon, passed away Monday, June 26, 2006 at home with her family by her side after a brave fight against cancer.
Marion was born October 28, 1922 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Albert William and Frances (Diedrich) Kessler. She graduated from Plato Township High School. Marion lived in the Princeton area from 1960-1973. In 1973, she moved to the Ripon area where she lived out her life. She was a devoted mother whose family was everything to her. She loved to travel and was ready for any adventure, like parasailing in Hawaii at age 80. Marion was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Miller of Elgin, IL; daughters, Linda (Jerry) Bellings of Spring Lake, Leanne (Paul) Harvey of Princeton and Nanci (Jeff) Gagliardi of Boulder, CO; sons, Larry (Karen) Workowski of Ripon and Ken (Michelle) Workowski of Viola; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ruth, Alice and Ersel.
Visitation for Marion Workowski will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Memorial Service for Marion Workowski will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, with Reverend Bryan Fritsch officiating. A memorial has been established.
