Marion Jane VandeBrink, age 92, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan, WI.
Marion, the daughter of Robert, Sr. and Johanna (Sauerbrei) Prellwitz, was born on August 22, 1929 in Ripon. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1947. On October 8, 1949 she married Edwin VandeBrink at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon. Marion was a life long devoted member to her church. She was a past Sunday school teacher and loved being a greeter. She was also a past member of Green Lake HCE and Six Mile Corner Homemakers and was a 4-H leader for the Three Hilltoppers 4-H.
Marion was most remembered for working at her produce stand along side her husband in her retirement years. Her greatest joy in life was her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her husband, Edwin VandeBrink; son, Barry (Gail) VandeBrink; two grandsons, Jeremie (Jamie) of Ripon, WI and Josh VandeBrink of Markesan, WI; a granddaughter, Kim (Adam) Downs of Ripon, WI; great-grandsons, Ryan and Nathan VandeBrink and Zack Downs all of Ripon, WI; and great-granddaughters, Aubrey and Adilyn Downs of Ripon, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert, Sr. and Johanna Prellwitz; and infant son, Daniel; son, Brian VandeBrink; brothers, Edward (Leslie) and Robert, Jr. (Barbara) Prellwitz; and a sister, Caroline (Alvin) Abel.
Visitation for Marion will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, and again on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
A funeral service for Marion will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating.
