Marion Joyce Matyasz, age 85, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon, WI. She was also under the care of Agnesian Hospice Hope of Green Lake.
Marion was born on December 25, 1924, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Edith (Hansen) Weyland. She married Raymond Matyasz in 1947, and she worked as an assistant manager for a bank which she enjoyed because she loved talking to people. Marion was very family oriented and loved her family unconditionally.
Survivors include her son, William (Annette) Matyasz of Wausau, WI; three grandchildren, John (Katie), Mark, and Shelley; great-grandson, Nolan; one daughter-in-law, Carla Matyasz of Eden Prairie, MN; two sisters, Faith (Eugene) Anderson of Green Lake, WI, and Ruth Purfuerst of West Bend, WI; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Matyasz; and one sister; Eunice Ware.
Visitation for Marion Matyasz will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Marion Matyasz will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010, at 10:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church. Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate. Interment will be held at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Messiah Lutheran Church in her name.
