Marion J. Born

Marion Jane Born, age 95, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ripon.

Marion was born in the town of Nepeuskun (Rush Lake) on August 12, 1928, the daughter of Archie and Beatrice (Krebs) Lynch. She grew up on the family farm. Marion was united in marriage on January 31, 1948 to Marvin Born, and he passed away on January 18, 2014. They were married at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. A graduate of Ripon High School in the class of 1945, Marion worked as a secretary in various local offices. Reading was her favorite past-time. 

Marion is survived by one son, Steven (Christine) Born of Markesan, WI; grandchildren, Kari of Wausau, WI, Steven (Lori) of Mosinee, WI, Chad (Nikki) of Mosinee, WI, Myranda (Michael) of Malone, WI, Michaella (Ryan) of Fond du Lac, WI, Jordan (Mallory) of Waupun, WI; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lyndon (June) Lynch of Ripon, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Born; her parents, Archie and Beatrice Lynch; a dear sister Bernice (Ervin) Pinnow; and sister-in-law, Erna (Harry) Wrzinske.

In accordance with Marion’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial will take place at the Nepeuskun Cemetery.
