Marilyn Nitz, age 78, of Pickett, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI, with her loving family by her side.

Marilyn was born on August 5, 1938, in Menasha, WI, the daughter of Harold, Sr. and Martha (Mason) Kohler. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1958. In 1967, Marilyn married the love of her life, Ronald W. Nitz, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha, WI. First and foremost, Marilyn was a wonderful mother of 3 children. She also helped on the family farm, and held various other jobs in Menasha and Pickett as well. Marilyn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett, and was also a member of the choir at one time.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Bill (fiancé, Sharon Jann) Nitz of Ripon, WI, and Jeff Nitz of Pickett, WI; daughter, Peggy (Robert) Wehle of Ripon, WI; a brother, Harold “Butch” (Sue) Kohler of Neenah, WI; sisters, Phyliss (Cliff) Moran of Menasha, WI, MaryJane (Roger) Wendler of Wittenberg, WI; a niece, Laura (Kevin) Karow of Oshkosh, WI, brothers-in-law, Arland Roberts of Oshkosh, WI, John Llwellyn of Larson, WI, Arlyn Henke of Oshkosh, WI; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, who passed away on July 30, 2016; parents, Harold, Sr. and Martha Kohler; mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Laura Nitz; 2 sisters, Janet Henke and LaVonne Llwellyn; sister-in-law, Roane Roberts; and two nephews, Jim Roberts and Keith Bricco.

A visitation for Marilyn will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI, 54971, and again from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, 502 County Road M, Pickett, WI, 54964.

A funeral service for Marilyn will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jud Krohn officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Utica. A memorial is being established in her name.
