Marilyn R. Disterhaft, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Maplecrest in Ripon.
Marilyn was born October 28, 1925, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Ida L. (Ziebel) Stadler. She graduated from Oshkosh schools and on June 25, 1949, Marilyn married Harold Harry Disterhaft. Marilyn worked as a night supervisor for Precision Metalsmiths Inc. in Markesan. In her earlier years, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Markesan where she taught Catechism and a was a treasurer of the Alter Society and then in her later years became a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Phillip) White and granddaughter, Laura Beth all of Big Bend, WI and two brothers, Harold and Roger Stadler both of Oshkosh, WI and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ida; her husband, Harry and brother, Claude Stadler.
Prayer Service for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 10:30, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, followed by a time of visitation until 12:00 pm with snacks. Father John Schmitz will officiate. Entombment will take place on Monday, October 19, 2015, at Lake View Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Oshkosh. A memorial is being established in her name.
