Marian Sommerfeldt
July 2, 1950 — May 24, 2020
Marian L. Sommerfeldt, age 69, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Ripon Medical Center, of heart failure during a battle with Lymph Cancer.
Marian was born July 2, 1950, in Pottsville, PA, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Hay) Wiest. She graduated from high school and went on to further her education at Ripon College. Marian received her Master’s Degree shortly after. On March 29, 1978, she married Glen Sommerfeldt in Ripon. Marian worked as a board of directors at Community Options in Green Lake.
Marian was a good wife and a good mother, who’s greatest joy was in her boys, family, and wonderful friends. She spent the most of her life helping people anyway she could. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Glen Sommerfeldt; son, Daniel “Digger” Sommerfeldt and brother, Richard (Rosalie) Wiest. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey N. Sommerfledt and daughter-in-law, Catherine Sommerfeldt.
