Marian L. Mildebrandt

Marian L. Mildebrandt, age 81, of Green Lake, Town of Brooklyn, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Barrett House in Green Lake, surrounded by her family.

Marian was born on July 28, 1944 in Ripon, WI, daughter of Frederick and Mildred (Schultz) Luchsinger. She attended school in Ripon and Green Lake, graduating from Green Lake High School. She went on to attend UW-Stevens Point for a short time. In 1970, Marian married Marcel Mildebrandt in Ripon. Over the years she worked several jobs; at the Courthouse in Green Lake, at the Bookstore at the Fond du Lac Vocational Tech and Adult School, in the accounting department at Eau Claire Tech School, at OEC Graphics as a typesetter and proofreader, and most recently as Town of Brooklyn Treasurer and Clerk. Her most passionate job of all was their Bison farm, she was incredibly proud of everything about raising her Bison and selling the meat. She loved the social aspect of the farmers market and getting to know people and visiting. In her free time, Marian enjoyed knitting, reading, and was a devoted member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake. At the church she was involved with the Ladies Aid Group and ran the scrip program for Green Lake and also Ripon.

Marian is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marcel Mildebrandt of Green Lake, WI; two sons, Aaron (Shelby) Mildebrant of Ripon, WI and Paul (Kathleen) Mildebrandt of Minocqua, WI; four grandchildren, Vincent, Victor, Drew and Max Mildebrandt; a brother, Dale Luchsinger of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Carol (Bob) Kuphal of Ripon, WI; and many nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mildred Luchsinger; and in-laws, Lynn and Frieda Mildebrandt.

Visitation for Marian will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church, 440 Lake St., Green Lake, WI, 54941.

Memorial service for Marian will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake, with Pastor Nickolas Haasch officiating.
