Margaret W. Kramer, age 93, of Ripon, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Margaret was born in Weirton, WV on July 13, 1925, the daughter of Michael and Josephine (Pelc) Gill. She married John S. Maki in West Virginia and they later moved to Maryland where she raised their children. Years later, Margaret retired from her position as manager of the gift shop at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. A few years after retirement, she moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Among her favorite things were cooking, gardening, family gatherings, years spent fishing and crabbing near the Chesapeake Bay, and an insatiable love of music.
Survivors include her son, Erich J. (Cathy) Maki of Belt, MT; granddaughter, Kimberly (Mark) Wilson of Rancho Cordova, CA; daughter, Sally M. Dahlke of Princeton, WI; granddaughter, Nicole Lawson of Columbus, NM; one great-grandson, Scott Lawson of Columbus, NM; sister, Martha Brinsko of Columbia, MD and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Chester and Theodore Gill; three sisters, Stella Luoto, Helen Rock and Cecilia Brinsko.
Per Margaret's wishes, there will be no service. Memorials may be directed to a local Catholic Church of your choice.
