Margaret Jean Jolly, age 95, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Margaret was born October 30, 1921, in Green Lake County, WI, the daughter of Carl and Marie (Helmer) Dahms. On August 23, 1952, she married Henry Jolly. Margaret lived in Green Lake and Fond du Lac County most of her life. She worked at various jobs in her life time including being a clerk at Fox River Glove in Ripon, and was a past Ripon Lioness. She was a great cook and loved her apple pie. Margaret was truly a farm girl at heart.
Survivors include her niece, Mary E. Erickson of Oshkosh; special foster child Patsy Krueger of Ripon; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law. Preceding her in death are her parents, Carl and Marie; her husband, Henry; four sisters, Myrtle, Esther, Marie, and Erma; three brothers, Alfred, Albert, and Richard; brother and sister-in-law, John and Gladys Hritsko, and in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jolly.
Per Margaret’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon, WI, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Margaret’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Generations Hospice, Fountain View Care Center/Wolverton Glen, and Dr. Longo. Memorials in Margaret’s name may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
