Margaret Dorothy De Cramer, 87, formerly of Rosendale, passed away Monday morning, April 11, 2005, at All About Life Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac.
She was born May 19, 1917, in Rosendale, daughter of Henry and Dora (Zinke) Vollbrecht. She attended Rosendale High School and graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN with a degree in English and music. Margaret taught school for 33 years in Rosendale Schools. On June 21, 1947 she married La Vern De Cramer at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. She had been an avid gardener all her life, and was a founder of the Rosendale & Brandon Players.
Survivors include her husband, La Vern of Rosendale; 5 children, Kevin (Carole) of Brandon, Marcia of Milwaukee, Craig of Rosendale, Laird (Linda) of Princeton, Henry (Deby) of Yulee, FL; 4 grandchildren, Jason, Adrienne, Callista and Sullivan; and sister, Doris Sales of OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Iva.
Funeral service for Margaret D. De Cramer will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at the Rosendale United Church of Christ in Rosendale. The Rev. Laura K. Hawkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery in Rosendale. A memorial has been established.
