Marcella E. Woelfel, age 69, of Rosendale, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, surrounded by her family.
Marcella was born on February 23, 1939, in Chilton, WI, the daughter of Leonard and Monica (Nett) Goeser. She attended Vocational and Adult School in Fond du Lac. On April 30, 1960, she married Marvin A. Woelfel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho, WI. Marcella was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, and the We Love to Dance Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, embroidery, sewing, and other crafts, as well as devoting her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. Marcella was co-owner of M&Ms Flagpole Sales for the past 15 years; lunch server and noon-hour supervisor for the Rosendale-Brandon School District from 1976-2001.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin of Rosendale, five sons, David of Rosendale; DuWayne (Brenda) and Delbert (Debbie) both of Fond du Lac; Darrell (Shelly) of Eldorado; and Dean of Oshkosh; one daughter, Donna Mae of Mount Calvary; three grandsons, Zachary, Tyler James , and Quinn; one granddaughter, Ramzie; one step-granddaughter, Heather (Johnny) Herbeck of Fond du Lac; one step-grandson, Patrick Maloney of Portland, OR; two step-great-grandsons, Austyn and Robert Bobby; two step-great-granddaughters, Joslyn and Carmyn; two sisters, her twin sister, Margaret Marge (Roger) Gerner of Stockbridge, and Mary Ann Tootsie (Larry) Ecker of Chilton; two brothers, Robert Butch Goeser of North Fond du Lac, and Anthony Tony (Marsha) Goeser of Chilton; one sister-in-law, Sandra Sandy Goeser of Chilton; 12 nieces and 9 nephews. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Shimmel and Ronald Ronnie Goeser; and one sister-in-law, Delores Goeser.
Visitation for Marcella E. Woelfel will be held from 9-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom Street in Ripon.
Mass of Christian Burial for Marcella E. Woelfel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom Street, Ripon, with Father William Whalen officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosendale Cemetery, in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial has been established in her name.
