Lyle S. Schrader, age 83, of Ripon, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1915, in Berlin, a son to Amiel and Maggie Mae (Priest) Schrader. He was educated in Berlin. On August 22, 1936 he married Nellie Mae Schmackle. Lyle was a carpenter for many years at C.R. Meyer and Oscar Bolt Construction. For over 50 years he had been a member of Local #252 Carpenters Union. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon Lions for over 30 years, and the Issac Walton League. Lyle was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by 1 son, Earl (JoAnn) Schrader of Ripon; 1 daughter, LaVonne (David) Butler of Ripon; 8 grandchildren, Kevin Butler, Jill (Jamie) Schounard, Julie Butler, Rebecca Butler, Cindy (Steve) Raddatz, Amy Butler, Stuart (Heather) Schrader and Stacey Schrader; 4 great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Brooke and Erin Schounard and Mitchell Raddatz; 4 sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nellie Mae in January 1991, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 27, 1999, at 11:00 AM at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon with the Rev. David Busker officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service at the church, Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
