Lucille Zierzow

Lucille Martha Zierzow passed away at Markesan Resident Home, Markesan on Monday, May 9, 2005, at the age of 79.

She was born to Carl and Gertrude (Schoneck) Uhl on December 6, 1926 in Waupaca, WI. She married Reuben Krueger and was mother of two sons, James and Donald. On August 11, 1955, she married Arthur W. Zierzow Jr. in Two Creeks, WI. They moved to Green Lake, where they lived the majority of their adult lives.

Lucille was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the American Legion
Auxiliary. Lucille was a well-known seamstress and quilter and over the years fashioned countless garments, pillows, and quilts for family and friends.

Survivors include two sons James (Susan) Krueger, Green Lake and Donald Krueger, California. She is also survived by stepsons, Arthur (Louise) Zierzow III, Connecticut, Charles (Dawn) Zierzow, Connecticut, and John (Tracy) McDowell, Washington State. The following grandchildren were her pride and joy: Tracy Radenz, Amy Kobs, Virginia Drap, Rachel Zierzow, and Tabitha Maccalous. Four great-grandchildren and one sister survive her as well. Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and husband Arthur.

A private burial took place earlier in the week. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2005 at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake. The Reverend Rodney E. Dietsche will officiate. A memorial fund has been established for Peace Lutheran School, in honor of her love for children.
