Louis Kemnitz

Louis “Louie” Leonhard Kemnitz, age 75, of Berlin, WI, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, February 24, 2023 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI.

Louie was born June 27, 1947 in Berlin, WI, the son of Leonhard and Gloria (Thompson) Kemnitz. Louie worked for over 40 years at Fox River Industries. He enjoyed his work very much and had many friends there. Louie loved being with people and staying busy. He spent a lot of time at the family farm, where he enjoyed being outside taking care of the animals and doing chores. Louie loved listening to any kind of music; his radio went with him wherever he went.

Survivors include his sisters, Cheryl (Dan) Rohde and Debra (Scott) Gohlke; nieces and nephews, Peter Rohde, Kelly Rohde, Nicole (James) Braun, Cole (Allison) Gohlke, and Cody Gohlke (fiancé Brittney Genal); great-nieces and great-nephews, Grace, Logan, McKenna, Kolton, Paisley and Landry; and special friend and caregiver at Berlin Pines, Liz Zimmermann. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Leonhard and Gloria Kemnitz.

A visitation for Louie will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

A funeral service for Louie will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Rev. Wesley Wassell officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, City of Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in his name.
