Lori L. King

August 19, 1955 — July 23, 2026

Berlin/Green Lake

Lori L. King, 70, of Berlin/Green Lake, WI, died on Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was surrounded by her family and deeply loved, as she passed, at Berlin Memorial Hospital, Emergency Center, at 2:39 am.

Lori was born the daughter of James and Caroline King on August 19, 1955 in Ripon, WI. She continued in life to do/be many things such as a homemaker, owner of her own in-home daycare, Kings Hill Daycare, as well as worked at JMS Smuckers, and retired an inspector at PGI.

Lori was seen as a happy, loving mother, sister, and friend who enjoyed many things such as yearly family vacations to Colorado to visit her beloved sister, Pat, extended cousins, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed attending concerts, yearly Farm Aid festivals being her favorite to have been able to go to, and countless trips with her children to Wisconsin Dells to enjoy the water parks. Her children remember her for her lively spirit as she listened and danced freely to music in her kitchen, game nights late into the evenings - Scrabble being a family favorite, and her love for mowing the lawn - she couldn’t resist the tan she would get all summer from it! She loved decorating for holidays as well. She was known for always having two full sized and fully decorated Christmas trees in the home during the holidays, and was even displayed in the Green Lake Reporter for having a playfully decorated house during Halloween.

Lori lived a wonderful life, had many adventures with her family, and will always be remembered for her big heart and endless love for all children, not just her own. Many of her children’s friends felt like she was another mom to them as well through the years. She had a fun, wild and playful sense of humor - even through her later years, and kept her family together in all the best ways she knew how.

Lori is survived by her sons, CJ (Alexis) Crump, Jeramy (Christie) Crump, Jesse Gross, Jared (Maya) Gross; daughter, Amber (Nathan) Logan; her four grandchildren, Carson Huenerberg, Lana Gross, Jordan Crump and Maeve Logan; partner of 12 years, Mike Bicking; niece, Tracie Thresher; nephews, William “Billy” Kieck and David Sauer Jr.; great-nephew, Steven( Dylan) Gross and their daughters, Teagan and Quinlyn Gross; great-niece and nephews, Jaimie and Thomas Thresher, and Timmy Thresher; as well as many more beloved nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, James and Caroline King; sisters, Sharon Kieck and Pat King; as well as family members, Cassandra Sauer (David Sauer Jr.) and Shelley Martinez.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for Lori by the family, date TBD. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Berlin Memorial Hospital, Emergency Center for their assistance, support and caring nature.
