Lois Hyde Page, age 92, of Ripon, WI, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Lois was born on December 2, 1925, in Rosendale, WI, the daughter of Charles and Daisy (Morgan) Hyde. After graduating from Ripon High School, Lois went on to work as a secretary at Speed Queen in Ripon. She met her future husband, Glenn Page, before he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. Glenn served with the 93rd Airborne Troop Carrier Squadron and completed his tour of duty in 1945. Glenn then attended engineering school in California before returning to Ripon to join the engineering department at Speed Queen.
Lois and Glenn were married on October 22, 1949 in Elk Mound, WI. They built a home in Ripon and had two children, Joan and Perry. Lois was a generous and loving mother. She loved to cook, bake and entertain family and friends.
Lois later joined Ripon College as a secretary in the Admissions Office where she enjoyed her work for more than 20 years. She loved meeting the students working in the department and received correspondence from many of them throughout her life. Lois was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer for many church activities including serving as part-time church secretary for several years.
Survivors include her children, Joan (Kyle) Wiggs of Green Lake, WI and Perry Page of Sarasota, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Daisy Hyde; her husband, Glenn; and two sisters, Floy Hyde and Beulah (Clarence) Benkoski.
Visitation for Lois will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971, and again from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI.
Funeral Services for Lois will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, with Reverend Harsha Kotian officiating. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery, Town of Brooklyn, WI. Memorials may be directed to Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
