Lois M. Novak, age 83, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Appleton, WI.

Lois was born in Ripon, WI, on January 8, 1934, the daughter of George and Bernice (Spaulding) Wittchow. She graduated from Ripon High School. On October 24, 1953, Lois married Harold A. Novak. Aside from being a devoted wife and mother, she found time to help with the daily farming, driving school bus, playing softball, dartball, bowling, snowmobiling and fishing. She was also an avid animal lover. Lois was one of the first women to pull tractors in this area in the 1960’s and early 1970’s.

Lois is survived by her husband, Harold; her 2 daughters, Jeanne (Paul) Senner of Appleton, WI, Patti (Joe) Echenique of Silver Springs, NV; 4 sons, Michael (Janice) Novak of Wautoma, WI, Jeffry (Pamela) Novak of Green Lake, WI, John (Theresa) of Ripon, WI, and Scott Novak of Pickett, WI; grandchildren, Amber and William of Appleton, WI, Craig (Stephanie) of Redgranite, WI, Bryan of Lansing, MI, Samuel (fiancé, Angelica) of Stevens Point, WI, Chelsey (fiancé, Patrick) of Dalton, WI, Jeffry, Jr. of Green Lake, WI, Jenna (special friend, Cary) of Milwaukee, WI, Jacob (special friend, Alyssa), Alexander, and Lynn, all from Ripon, WI; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Sofia of Appleton, WI, and Connor of Redgranite, WI; a brother, Kenneth (Carol) Wittchow of Ripon, WI; a brother-in-law, John Ronspies of Wautoma, WI; many nieces; nephews; and her devoted companion, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bernice; a sister; brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.

A visitation for Lois will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI, 54941.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lois will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Appleton Intensive Care Unit. A memorial in Lois’ name is being established.
