Lloyd Penke

Lloyd George Penke, age 87, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon.

Lloyd was born July 2, 1930, in Ripon, WI, the son of George and Margaret (Sauerbrei) Penke. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to serve our country in the Korean War for the United States Army. On August 15, 1951, Lloyd married Helen S. Brown in Ripon. He was employed at Ripon Foods, Inc. and retired from there in 1998. Lloyd was a member of Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon and the American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post #43.

Survivors include daughter, Nancy M. Penke of Fond du Lac, WI; two sons, Larry (Ann) Penke of Sheboygan, WI and Allen Harding of Ladysmith, WI; daughter-in-law, Linda Lee Penke of Two Rivers, WI; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman (Linda Rae) Penke of Ripon, WI; sister-in-law, Harriet Brown of Berlin, WI. Lloyd is further survived by nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Penke; wife and soulmate, Helen Penke; sister, Elizabeth Williams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and uncles, aunts and cousins.

Visitation for Lloyd will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Bethel Reformed Church, 305 W. Main St., Brandon, WI 53919.

Funeral Service for Lloyd will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 10:30 am at Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon. Interment will be held at Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon with Full Military Honors. A memorial is being established for the Endowment Fund of Bethel Reformed Church.
