Linda L. Gutknecht

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda L. Gutknecht, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend, on September 15, 2026 at her home in Rosendale. She was born February 23, 1955, daughter of Eugene and Rosemary (Mylnarek) Corrigan.

Linda loved spending time with her family when she could. Going on camping trips and taking the grandkids to car shows and fishing in the summers. She was sassy and had a big heart, or as she would tell people when asked how she was doing she’d reply ‘fat and sassy’. She loved driving school bus for 20+ years and loved all the kids she transported. There was always funny and heart warming stories of her kids. The children knew her as Miss Linda, the bus driver with the cool colored hair. Most often it was purple, her favorite color.

More often than not if you would see Linda between bus routes you’d find her crocheting. At sporting events, if she didn’t go watch the game, you find her with her yarn and hook creating her magic. She was always making an afghan and had made a good number of baby blankets for friends and family that were expecting.

Linda is survived by her step-son, Chad Peshke of Fond du Lac and his sons, Noah and Mason; three daughters, Chandra Grahn of Ripon and her daughters; Emily (Chris) Lohry, Chelsea (Ian) Schraufnagel and Cheyenne Grahn; Jamie (Richard) Labumbard and their sons; Corrigan, Richard and Evan. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Mya, Logan, Connor, Ronan, Jonah; and Vivienne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Rosemary Corrigan; and her husband, David Gutknecht; brother Dennis Corrigan and sister Debbie Reeser

Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at the USW Local 1327 Union Hall at 443 Scott Street Ripon WI, date and time to be determined in the near future.
