Lida L. Miller, age 94, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Harbor Haven in Fond du Lac, WI.
Lida was born on November 22, 1923 at home in Tustin, WI, the daughter of John and Lydia (Yesse) Lind. On May 18, 1946, Lida married Norman Miller at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI. Norman passed away on April 22, 2015. After moving to the Ripon area, Lida babysat and cleaned houses. She went on to work at The Advertisers as well as Rippin' Good Cookies in Ripon. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon and was also part of the Messiah Woman's Guild. Lida bowled in a league during her younger years, and always enjoyed attending a good game of baseball. She loved to watch the Packers, play cards, board games (especially Aggravation), and dominoes. While Norman would take care of the garden, Lida took care of and cherished the flowers in her yard.
Lida is survived by her son, Dennis (Erin) Miller of Eau Claire, WI; her daughter, Terry (Jerry) Jost of Fond du Lac, WI; a granddaughter, Asia Miller of Eau Claire, WI; two step-granddaughters, Rita (Kevin) Kennedy of Fond du Lac, WI and Sarah (Rob) Gruen of River Hills, WI; and two step-great-granddaughters, Ashley Jost of Fond du Lac, WI and Ruby Gruen of River Hills, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia Lind; husband, Norm Miller; sisters, Helen Manske, Mae Dillman, Carolyn Schultz, Irene Hilke, Myra Schonsheck; and brothers, Norman Bud Lind, Charles Chuck Lind, George Lind, and Junior Shorty Lind.
A visitation for Lida will be held from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54791.
A Funeral Service for Lida will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Bryan Fritsch officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, WI. A memorial is being established in her name. The family of Lida would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff at Harbor Haven for their care and also to Hospice Hope for giving comfort to Lida in her last days with us.
