Lee E. Ross, age 75, of Ripon, passed away on December 23, 2016, at his home.
Lee was born in Melrose Park, IL, on August 4, 1941, the son of Roy and Dorothy (Schlupp) Ross. After high school he went on to serve our country in the United States Army. He then went to the Illinois State Police Academy and served as an officer for the Police Department in Addison, IL. In 1984 he married Phyllis Coons, who passed away in 2011. Lee was an avid gun collector.
Lee is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (John) Oury of Aurora, IL; son, Daniel (Jennifer) Ross of Aurora, IL; grandchildren: Cory, Tyler, Rachel, Robert, Melissa; a sister, Beverly Hyde; nieces, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Phyllis.
A visitation for Lee will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr, Ripon, WI, 54971. Full military honors will take place at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A memorial is being established in Lee’s name.
