LaVerne H. Draves, age 89, of Ripon, WI passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Pleasant Park Place in Ripon.
LaVerne was born on July 6, 1929 in Ripon, the daughter of Herman and Adela (Griese) Draves. She graduated from Ripon High School and went on to work as a secretary at Speed Queen. LaVerne was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon. She enjoyed board games and playing cards, especially Kings Corners.
LaVerne is survived by her cousins; close friends, the Rivera family and the Bakke family; and other dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Adela Draves; and her sister, Donna Mae Draves.
A visitation for LaVerne will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI.
A Funeral Service for LaVerne will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor Donald Deike officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to SouthernCare Hospice, 885 Western Ave #200, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
