Larry “LB” G. Beier, age 78, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Larry was born on August 19, 1946 in Fairwater, WI, son of Herman and Lucille (Malzahn) Beier. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army National Guard and Army Reserve from 1966 until 1972, with the 32nd Red Arrow Infantry Division. He married Janice Page on May 4, 1968, in Ripon. Larry was a Standard Oil jobber and dabbled in farming in his younger years. He then started and took pride in his own trucking company, Larry’s Trucking, and hauled general freight. He was an auction junkie, a truck and tractor enthusiast, an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed watching Nascar. Larry enjoyed his time with his coffee clutch friends, solving the world’s problems. He also enjoyed a good fish fry at Walker’s Bar & Grill. Most of all he cherished time with his grandchildren and was always encouraging and proud of them. Larry attended Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, and was a member of many clubs in the Ripon area, including Ripon Optimus Club, FFA Alumni, Duck’s Unlimited, Wings Over Wisconsin, National Trucker’s Association, Whitetails Unlimited, NRA, and the National Turkey Federation.
Larry is survived by his son, Tim (special friend, Shannon) Beier of Markesan, WI and his children, Hailey and Colton; a daughter, Tami (Pat) Conlon of Ripon, WI and their children, Brendan (Ashley) Conlon, Janice (Caleb) Emmer, Evan Conlon, and Spencer Conlon; great-grandchildren, Connor, Tia, and Ryker, and baby boy Emmer on the way; siblings, Bernard (Grace) Garlid of Grand Rapids, MI, Anna Jean Paul of Stoughton, WI, David (Dottie) Beier of Portage, WI, Don (Jayne) Beier of Berlin, WI, Dan (Kathy) Beier of Berlin, WI, and BJ Beier of Appleton, WI; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Erv) Page-Schmitt; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lucille Beier; ex-wife, Janice and her parents, Arland and Hazel Page; brothers-in-law, Marland Page, Ronald Brink and George Paul; sister-in-law, Vernice Brink; and a special aunt, Carol Beier.
Visitation for Larry will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Larry will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Heather Brewer officiating.
