Kim M. Hanko, age 64, of Ripon, WI passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Ripon Senior Living with her family by her side.
Kim was born on September 6, 1960 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Gordon Watson and Judith (Reith) Fandrey. She graduated from J.I. Case High School in Racine, WI. Kim was very artistic and enjoyed painting, drawing and coloring. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed watching birds and butterflies. She enjoyed fishing with family and friends. Kim was quick-witted and sassy, and occasionally inappropriate.
Kim is survived by her daughters, Julia (Eric) Briski and Katie (Mike Ottesen) VanWey; a step-daugher, Jamie VanWey; an adopted daughter, Jennifer Ricchio; grandchildren, Bruce, Michaela, Logan, Xander, Ricky, and Calliope; her mother, Judith Fandrey; a sister, Kelleen Grucza; a niece, Jodi; nephew, Hunter; step-siblings, Jan Gerber, Debra Just, Karen Fandrey and Bruce Fandrey; an uncle, Todd Luedtke; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Watson; step-father, Harold Fandrey; and grandmother, Julia Luedtke.
Per Kim’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Montello, WI. A memorial is being established in her name.
Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ariel, Kris, and Kathy and the rest of her SSM Hospice Team, as well as her ICare Team.
