Kenneth “Ken” E. Jorgensen, age 80, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh.
Ken was born October 12, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Ervin and Jeanette (Stewart) Jorgensen. He graduated from Oshkosh High School. On March 16, 1963, Ken married Judith Ann Tavernie after learning he was being drafted and then served our country in the United States Army. After returning from being stationed in Germany, Ken worked as a punch press operator for Brickham Stamping Company in Oshkosh. In their earlier years, he and Judy enjoyed dancing and would “cut a rug” at least five nights a week. Ken loved being a husband, father and a grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Judy Jorgensen of Oshkosh, WI; son, Kevin (Tricia) Jorgensen of Oshkosh, WI; daughter, Rhonda (Darrin) Krueger of Neshkoro, WI; four grandchildren, Tabatha and Ryan Jorgensen, Tyler Haertl and Tanner Krueger and seven great-grandchildren. Ken was further survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, June Zeinert.
Visitation for Ken will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 1 – 3:00 pm at Lake View Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, WI 54901.
Funeral Service for Ken will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Entombment will follow with a Final Salute with Military Funeral Honors. A memorial is being established in his name.
