Kathleen B. Luedke

Kathleen “Kathy” B. Luedke, age 73, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Maplecrest Manor.

Kathy was born on October 27, 1950, daughter of William “Bill” and Marie (Scharschmidt) Wepner. She graduated from Markesan High School. Kathy married Michael “Mike” Luedke on September 23, 1972, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. 

She loved the outdoors, and enjoyed going fishing and hunting with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time outside by gardening, and was a lifetime member of the Ripon FFA Alumni. She loved spending time with her children, as well as her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her son, Peter (Danette) Luedke of Ripon, WI; daughter, Melissa (Philip) Busse of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Anna Luedke of Ripon, WI, and Philip Busse of Ripon, WI; brothers, Greg (Judy) Wepner of La Mesa, CA, Tom (Jane) Wepner of North Fond Du Lac, WI; sister, Mary Ann Meany of Pembine, WI; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Luedke; parents, William and Marie (Scharschmidt) Wepner; father and mother-in-law, Raymond “Pete” and Mildred “Millie” Luedke; and brother-in-law Paul “Pat” Meany.

Visitation for Kathy will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971, and from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, May 31st, 2024 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott Street in Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service will be held following the visitation on Friday, May 31st at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery. A memorial is being established in Kathy’s name.

Kathy’s family would like to thank ThedaCare Hospice and Maplecrest Manor for the wonderful care and comfort they gave to her and her family.
