Kathleen “Kathy” E. Desmond, age 71, of Ripon, WI passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her home.
Kathy was born in Fond du Lac, WI on November 11, 1949, the daughter of Lee and Lucy (Wegner) Hansen. She graduated from Ripon High School and worked as a caregiver at Diverse Options up until her last days. She enjoyed her job very much and loved helping those in need. Kathy had a heart of gold and was selfless, always looking out for everyone. She also cherished her time helping with the Girl Scouts and tending to her garden. Her greatest passion was spending time with her granddaughter.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Greg) Breitenbach of Ripon, WI; a sister, JoAnn (Peter) Knebel of Coral Springs, FL; granddaughter, Olivia Schwandt of Ripon, WI; a niece, Kirsten Gramache of Coral Springs, FL; a nephew, Jason (Larissa) Knebel of Lynchburg, VA; step-grandchildren, Jacob Breitenbach of El Paso, TX and Hunter Breitenbach of Fond du Lac, WI; and too many friends to mention by name. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lucy Hansen; and a sister, Marilyn Issen.
A celebration of life for Kathy will be held at a later date. A memorial is being established in her name.
