June L. Rohde, age 91, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Pleasant Park Place in Ripon, WI.
June was born on June 11, 1927 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Buchholz) Eichmann. She graduated from Carl Schurz High School in Chicago, and on June 1, 1946 she married Richard E. Rohde, also in Chicago. June was a telephone operator for a few years at AT&T prior to raising her children. She enjoyed swimming, boating, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
June is survived by her son, Richard D. (Pamela) Rohde of Lombard, IL; grandchildren, Richard C. (Sonya) Rohde of Huntley, IL, James C. (Jillian) Rohde of Aurora, IL, Courtney (Collin) Doherty of Wheat Ridge, CO, and Ryan Rohde of Oshkosh, WI; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Annabelle Rohde of Huntley, IL and Luther and Greta Rohde of Aurora, IL; and by her best friend, Norm Nelson of Green Lake, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elsie Eichmann; husband, Richard E. Rohde; two sons, Charles W. and Robert E. Rohde; and her brother, Fred Eichmann.
A Celebration of Life for June will be held in June, 2019. Memorials in June's name may be directed to the Green Lake Conservancy at www.greenlakeconservancy.org.
