Judith Ann Altwies, age 82, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Ascension Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.
Judith was born on August 19, 1939, the daughter of Glen and Pearl (Orstead) Arnold. She graduated from Elgin High School in Elgin, IL and later married William A. Altwies, Sr. Judith worked for 25 years at Rippin Good Cookies as a payroll clerk. She was a member at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, where she had many close friends and belonged to the United Methodist Womens Circle. In her later years, Judith loved all kinds of crafting with her daughter, Holly, including stamping and card making.
Survivors include her children, Connie Breton, William (Tina) Altwies, Jr., Harvey Skip (Lori) Altwies all of Ripon, Holly (Kermit) Kernen of Oshkosh, WI and Jack (Kris) Altwies of Ripon; grandchildren, Michael Wetzel of Greenville, WI, Amber TerBeest of Green Lake, WI, Brandyn Breton of Ripon, Brett Altwies of Berlin, WI, Adrian Altwies of Ripon, Corey VandeBrink of Ripon, Kimberly Boone of Jonesboro, AR, Casey Hanson of Merrill, WI, Coleen Maugham of Ripon, Joshua Kernen of Kimberly, WI, Justin Kernen of Oshkosh, WI, and Kimi Scott of Oshkosh, WI; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Maier of IL; and brother, Charles Arnold of CA. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Pearl Arnold; uncle, Gene Arnold; and former husband, William Altwies, Sr.
A private memorial service for Judith will be held at Immanuel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Harsha K. Kotian officiating. A memorial is being established in her name.
