Joyce Evelyn Petermann Seely, age 78, longtime resident of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital.
Joyce was born on December 31, 1943, the daughter of Elroy and Norma (Engle) Petermann. Joyce graduated from Waupun High School in 1961. She married Stephan Seely on December 26, 1963. Joyce loved to read and do puzzles. She was an avid collector of dolls and various household items, such as salt and pepper shakers and glassware. Going to rummage sales and garage sales with family was often the highlight of her week.
Survivors include her brother, Elroy “Butch” (Kate) Petermann of Oshkosh, WI; sister, Glenda Laakkonen of Ripon; sister, Brenda Singmaster-Wrobel of Clermont, FL; and brother, Jon (Ruthie) Petermann of Independence, MO. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Stephan Seely; parents, Elroy and Norma Petermann; step-father, James Drake; brother, Peter Pete Petermann; brother-in-law, Robert Laakkonen; aunts; uncles; and many other relatives.
There will be a private Celebration of Life for Joyce to be announced at a later date. A memorial is being established in her name.
