Josephine “Josie” E. Sullivan, age 94, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Juliette Manor in Berlin, WI.
Josie was born in Kenosha, WI, on May 26, 1922, the daughter of Frank and Augusta (Jacoby) Sullivan. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1940 and went on to attend college, where she received a degree as a Mechanical Engineer. She then worked at Rowley Tool and Dye in Green Lake, WI. Josie attended church at First Congregational Church in Ripon.
Josie is survived by close friends Jennifer and Tim Aither of Ripon, and their children Claire and Sophie. She is preceded in death by her mother, Augusta; father, Frank Sullivan; her brother, Richard Sullivan; grandparents Frank and Emma Jacoby; and her aunt Josephine Jacoby.
A memorial gathering for Josie will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI, 54971.
A memorial service and inurnment for Josie will take place at a later date in Amherst, Massachusetts. Memorials in Josie’s name may be made to the American Red Cross, 2600 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI, 53233,
