Joseph "Joe" Deschler

Joseph “Joe” Casper Deschler, Sr., age 81, of Redgranite, WI, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI, after a very short battle with cancer.

Joe was born October 19, 1940, in Racine, WI, the son of Harry Casper and Magdaline (McGee) Deschler. Magdaline passed when he was very young, and Harry then married Helen Sue Rodgers. Joe graduated from Shorewood High School and went on to attend Penn State in the Turfgrass Management Program. On June 20, 1959, Joe married Patty Harris in Milwaukee. He worked in sales selling golf course equipment for Horst Distributing in Chilton, WI for most of his career. Joe was a member of Golf Course Superintendents of America, the Northern Great Lakes Association and the Wee One Foundation. He enjoyed fishing, going out on his pontoon and doing yard work. Joe always carried along snacks and a cooler. What he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Pang.” He always had a joke for them whenever he would see them.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Patty Deschler of Redgranite, WI; daughter, Mary Quade of Berlin, WI; son, Joey (Marlene) Deschler of Spring Grove, MN; grandchildren, Alex (Jaclyn) Quade and Ryan ( Brooke Wielgosh) Quade and Logan, Mariah and Addison Deschler; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Avery and Brooklyn Quade and Raynee, Liam and Hunter Quade; one brother, Peter (Gina) Deschler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patty (Peter) Jach.

Visitation for Joe will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 1 – 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial Service for Joe will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. A memorial is being established in his name.
