Joseph “ Joe C.” Chikowski, age 59, of Ripon, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at his sister’s house.
Joe was born on September 28, 1963 in Ripon, WI, son of Raymond and Beatrice (Witkowski) Chikowski. He attended Ripon High School and graduated with the class of 1985. Joe worked various jobs at Diverse Options throughout his 50 years of service. He is an honorary Knights of Columbus and an avid Packer fan who loved to travel, word search and bingo. Joe was a friend to all and was recognized all over town.
Joe is survived by his siblings, Diane (Paul) Lemke of Kewaskum, WI, Barbara Barnard of Ripon, WI, Mary (John) Stein of Ripon, WI, David (Nancy) Chikowski of Brandon, WI, Susan (Jeff) Gurkowski of Ripon, WI, and Gloria Chikowski of Oshkosh, WI; brother-in-law, Mark Engebretson of Pardeeville, WI; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Delores “Dorri” Engebretson; and grand-nephew, Trevor Fry.
Visitation for Joe will be held from 9:00 - 11:30 am on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Joe will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Fr. John Silva officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in Joe’s name.
