Joel Schuster

Joel Thomas Schuster, age 38, of Madison, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his home.

Joel was born April 15, 1976, in Ripon, WI, the son of Thomas and Jean (Miller) Schuster. He grew up in Ripon and was confirmed and baptized at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. Joel graduated from Ripon High School in 1994 and went to further his education at the University of WI-Whitewater and graduated in 1998. Joel worked at the State Controller’s Office for the State of Wisconsin. He loved baseball in general but his favorite team was the Chicago Cubs, “Go Cubs Go”.

Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Jean Schuster of Ripon, WI; long-time friend, Dija Selimi of Madison, WI; sister, Sarah (Travis) Richert of Verona, WI; nephews, Gavin, Cole and Baby Jack all of Verona, WI; grandparents, Donald and Betty Miller of Ripon, WI; great-aunt, Margaret Mackie of Ripon, WI and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Naomi Schuster.

A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial is being established in his name.

A Celebration of Joel’s Life will be held in Madison, WI at a later date.
