Joann L. Piekarski, 51, 536 Metomen St, Ripon, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2005 at Omro Care Center in Omro.
She was born July 10, 1953, in Ripon, a daughter to Harold “Bozo” and Agnes (Przybyl) Lehman. She was a graduate of Ripon High School. On November 3, 1984, she married John Piekarski. Joann had been cleaning lady at Splish Splash Clothes Bath in Ripon. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, knitting, cooking, and communicating on the internet. Joann loved her grandchildren and being around her family.
Survivors include her husband, John of Ripon; 3 daughters, Roberta Nelson (Jerome) of Fond du Lac, Linda Johnson (fiance’ Dusty Seymour) of Friendship and Michelle Johnson of Ripon; 7 grandchildren, Kimberlee, Ashlee, Jaysen, Rhyon, Zachary, Cearra and Izek; 4 sisters, Dorothy Ruediger (Jim), Jean Bornick (Darwin), Barbara Hoddinott and Harriet Karst (Dan); 9 nieces & nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, John & Josephine Przybyl; 1 son, Jason Warren Johnson; 1 grandson, Jeromy C. Nelson; and brother-in-law, Gary Hoddinott.
Funeral service for Joann L. Piekarski will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Rev. Mark R. West officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
