Jerome Jolitz

Jerome A. Jolitz, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Barrett House in Ripon.
Jerome was born April 21, 1933, in Rhinelander, WI, the son of Walter and Gertrude (Nelson) Jolitz. He graduated from Milwaukee Riverside High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On May 24, 1958, Jerome married Dolores Romens at St. Elizabeth’s in Milwaukee, WI. He was employed with Continental Can Company as a mechanic, retiring after 43 years. Jerome spent most of his life in Milwaukee and then he and Dolores moved to Ripon to retire. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon along with being a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dolores Jolitz of Ripon, WI; four sons, Thomas (Christine) Jolitz of Milwaukee, WI, Mark (Julie) Jolitz of Sussex, WI, Gary (special friend, Lisa) Jolitz of Milwaukee, WI and Scott (Yolande) Jolitz of Germantown, WI; grandchildren, Matthew, Jasmine, Kevin, Kyle, Sarah, Corey and Samantha; one great-granddaughter, Ava and one sister-in-law, Jeanne Jolitz of Tomahawk, WI. Jerome is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Raymond, Kenneth and Clyde and one sister, Joan.
Visitation for Jerome will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 9 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Jerome will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association, 620 South 76th St., Milwaukee, WI 53214.
