Jeffrey G. Darrington

Jeffrey G. Darrington, age 69, of Ripon, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at his home with family by his side.

Jeff was born on September 6, 1957 in Moscow, ID, son of James and Josephine (Biel) Darrington. He graduated from Troy High School in Troy, ID, class of 1976. He went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army, working his way up to Sergeant. On June 29, 1984 Jeff married Sang Suk in South Korea. He and Sang moved to the United States in 1985 and started their life together, raising three children. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a talented and giving woodworker. He made and donated much of his work to those who needed it. Jeff loved traveling the country with Sang in their RV, meeting many new friends along the way. More than anything, Jeff enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Sang Darrington; children, Tom (Amy) Darrington, Betty (Zach) Szilasi, and Nancy (John) Buttice; a brother, Frank Darrington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Josephine Darrington; and numerous siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeff will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 65971, with Fr. Chuck Wrobel officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon, followed by a final salute and full military honors. A memorial is being established in his name.
