Jeanne M. (nee Dodd) Drews, age 83, of Green Lake, WI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Markesan Residence Home in Markesan.
Jeanne was born in Fond du Lac on August 13, 1929 to Walter and Leone (Mahlberg) Dodd. She graduated from St. Vincent’s Nursing School of Pediatrics in Chicago and attended Oshkosh Business College. Prior to marriage, Jeanne worked with her father at his business, Dodd Gas and Appliance in Oshkosh. She was united in marriage to William Drews of Green Lake on October 12, 1957. After the death of her husband in 1983, Jeanne took over the operations of their family business, Drews Oil and LP Gas Company in Green Lake with her two sons. Jeanne devoted her life to her home and family and enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Badgers. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.
Two sons survive her, Steve Drews and Paul (Lori) Drews both of Green Lake, WI; her grandsons, Branden and Tanner Drews were the lights of her life. She is further survived by eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, devoted husband, Bill; infant son, Thomas; sister, Duane and nephew, Danny.
Visitation for Jeanne will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial is being established.
